Lisa first competed with New England Gymnastics Express in Newington, CT when she was 8 and excelled up to level 9. She has also been a competitive diver at the high school level. After some time spent in theater (including work in the Disney World College Program) she moved to San Francisco for a BS in Interior Design from SF State. She is a business owner who insists on keeping gymnastics in her life and loves working with the kids at Gymworld!

 

Lourdes Esquivel

Lourdes EsquivelAs a former National Competitor from Mexico City, Lourdes began her gymnastics career at the age of seven. By eleven, she participated in the Nationals where she helped her team retain the gold medal for five consecutive years.After coaching at various gyms in the bay area, she combined her business knowledge and coaching skills to open Gymworld. She has touched hundreds of Marin County children’s lives for the past twelve years.
 

Victoria Yelensky

A former Ukrainian National Team member, Victoria represented the former USSR in various International Competitions. Victoria has been teaching for over ten years and has an outstanding reputation. In addition to being an excellent coach and a founder of Gymworld, she gives seminars on preschool and developmental gymnastics.
She also has a degree in International Business.

 

Diana V. Makhnist

Date of Birth 07-15-1971 Russia. Has been doing Gymnastics since 1976. Competitive at National Level. Diploma from Academy of Sports Russia. Professional Gymnastics Coach. ACE Certified Personal Trainer. Choreographer (National Team of New Zealand). 5 years working gymnastic experience in US. 20 Yeas total coaching experience. 33 years of gymnastics experiences. Coaching every level, age, girls and boys. Producing State Champions.

 

Shauna Murray

From the age of nine, Shauna trained five days a week, three hours a day. During her childhood, gymnastics was her life and it has a lot to do with who she is today. Gymnastics helped her build confidence, and coordination. She is excited to have the opportunity to pass her knowledge and experience on to the children at Gymworld.

 

Elyse O' Donnell

Elyse was a former NCAA All-American in vaulting and the uneven parallel bars at Southern Connecticut State niversity. She has been active in Gymnastics since the age of four and was an active team member on her high school and college teams. Elyse has over twenty years of teaching experience with all levels.

 

Chandra Krown

Chandra was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. As a child she trained in ballet and competed at a national level in gymnastics. She has been performing as a professional dance artist internationally for over 12 years in a variety of companies, events and productions. She has taught gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics in the UK, Canada and the USA. She has also taught dance, creative movement and aerial dance to children and adults. She loves to share her passion for gymnastics and physical mastery with the kids at ymWorld!

 

Stephanie Gikkas

Stephanie was one of our first GymWorld students when we opened in 1999. She loved gymnastics, her coaches and the wonderful GymWorld facility. As she got older she decided that she wanted to learn how to spot, and to leverage her knowledge and experience by becoming an Assistant Coach. Stephanie has been an Assistant Coach for the last 2 years and is an excellent teacher who has attended many coaching workshops. As such we are proud to announce that she recently earned the title of "Coach"! Stephanie will turn 17 this year.
