| LOURDES ESQUIVEL As a former National Competitor from Mexico City, Lourdes began her gymnastics career at the age of seven. By eleven, she participated in the Nationals where she helped her team retain the gold medal for five consecutive years. After coaching at various gyms in the bay area, she combined her business knowledge and coaching skills to open Gymworld. She has touched hundreds of Marin County children’s lives for the past twelve years. VICTORIA YELENSKY A former Ukrainian National Team member, Victoria represented the former USSR in various International Competitions. Victoria has been teaching for over ten years and has an outstanding reputation. In addition to being an excellent coach and a founder of Gymworld, she gives seminars on preschool and developmental gymnastics. She also has a degree in International Business. ELYSE ODONNELL Elyse was a former NCAA All-American in vaulting and the uneven parallel bars at Southern Connecticut State University. She has been active in Gymnastics since the age of four and was an active team member on her high school and college teams. Elyse has over twenty years of teaching experience with all levels. DIANE MITCHELL HEARST Diane began her life in gymnastics when she was three years old while living in Japan. By the age of thirteen she competed at levels five through eight and placed first in each regional competition. In 2002, Diane competed at the USAIGC nationals in Florida for level eight, placing 30th out of 200. Diane has taught gymnastics from the age of fourteen and held the head coaching position at her former high school were she was MVP and team captain during her senior year. SHAUNA MURRAY From the age of nine, Shauna trained five days a week, three hours a day. During her childhood, gymnastics was her life and it has a lot to do with who she is today. Gymnastics helped her build confidence, and coordination. She is excited to have the opportunity to pass her knowledge and experience on to the children at Gymworld. |
